Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is now ready for its part 2 and fans are incredibly excited to see the story tackle this important part of Boruto's journey with a completely new manga, called Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. This manga is essentially a sequel to the original Boruto manga and will tackle the events of the timeskip and what comes after that.
Fans have waited for a few months for Boruto to return and now, the wait is almost over. The upcoming chapter of Boruto is now just days away and, needless to say, every fan is incredibly excited to see what this manga has to offer to them. The promotional material for Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has already been flying around and, recently, the proper design for Boruto Uzumaki was revealed to the fans and it certainly appears to be very interesting, to say the least.
A New Outfit
The new design that has been revealed for Boruto Uzumaki in the promotional material seems quite different from what fans saw at the beginning of the original Boruto Manga. That is pretty much understandable, however, given that the illustrator's style certainly evolved with time. Furthermore, new details have now been added to Boruto and that only means that the author keeps getting new ideas that he wants to incorporate into this character. For one, Boruto Uzumaki looks a lot more mature here and that is to be expected, given that after the timeskip, he will be around 16 years of age, meaning the time skip will be around 4 years. In those 4 years, Boruto is certainly going to have grown quite a lot and reached a level that has never been seen before by the fans.
This change is made apparent by the authors through the character design. Boruto looks far bigger than before and, more importantly, his outfit makes him look a lot more serious than he ever was. Boruto seems to be wearing a cloak of Konoha, and this cloak looks very similar to the one that Sasuke wears. The vast majority of his outfit seems to be a copy of the one that Sasuke wears. Everything, from his gloves, to his belt and his trousers, is very similar to Sasuke's outfit. The cloak might be slightly different, however, the design idea seems to be the same. This is proof that Boruto looks up to Sasuke and has matured like him to quite an extent and fans are certainly incredibly happy to see this change in the character.
A Powerful Katana
Boruto Uzumaki will certainly have trained very hard during the timeskip period. Fans expect him to have grown tremendously powerful, given that the timeskip was for 4 years and, more importantly, Boruto trained under Sasuke Uchiha, one of the smartest and most capable ninjas of all time. A new skill that Boruto seems to have picked up is kenjutsu. This is evident from the fact that Boruto Uzumaki now carries a sword. In the promotional cover for Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Boruto Uzumaki's Katana is quite clear to see.
This sword looks identical to the one that Sasuke carries, only with a purple string tied around it. Fans know that Sasuke calls his sword the Kusanagi Blade. It remains to be seen whether Boruto has given a name to his sword or if it is a copy of the Kusanagi Sword. This blade could be a completely new weapon that Boruto got his hands on and fans will simply have to wait to see if it carries any significance other than Boruto copying Sasuke.
The prologue made it quite clear for the fans that Boruto is exceptionally skilled in the usage of the sword. He was seen engaging in combat with Kawaki and he held his own exceptionally well. It can be said that under Sasuke, Boruto has taken his sword skills to the very next level and it will be interesting to observe if fans will get to see any of this training or if it will be completely skipped over.
Other Revealed Designs
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has also revealed quite a lot of other character designs to the fans as well. Kawaki is one character who fans have seen a lot of, given that he featured heavily in the prologue of the series. Other than him, fans also got to see Sarada Uchiha very recently in yet another promotional art for Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Sarada looks completely different from her initial design and it looks more unique than the one that Boruto sports. Sarada has very short hair now and she has changed her spectacles to be rimless. At the same time, she wears a choker around her neck and a jacket over what appears to be a tube top. Her entire design has not been revealed to the fans just yet, however, it is good that some things are being kept as a secret for the fans to enjoy when the manga actually comes out.
Designs for other characters have not been revealed to the fans just yet, however, with the manga being only days away now, it is only a matter of time before fans get to see for themselves what the Boruto timeskip has done to their favorite characters. Fans can only hope for better character designs for all of them, including the old-generation characters, such as Sasuke and Sakura. It must be remembered that a new character design for Naruto will likely not happen anytime soon, given that he is stuck in a dimension where time doesn't flow at all.
The promotional preview for Boruto: Two Blue Vortex dropped recently as well, and while it didn't cover anything groundbreaking, it did excite the fans with bits of information here and there. According to the promotional material, Boruto Uzumaki is currently being hunted by Konoha, which is something that every fan of the story expected. Boruto has been labeled as the killer of the 7th Hokage and, for that reason, Konoha have never stepped off his trail. Given that Sasuke is also with him, it is likely that Sasuke is being hunted as well.
With Boruto continually making his escape, it appears that he will come across something that will shock him. The promotion material doesn't give any context to what this could be, but fans will most likely find out very soon when Boruto does return later this week. There have been rumors of the first chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex to be extra long, given that it is the first chapter of the new series, however, these are just rumors at the moment and nothing has been confirmed. Regardless, fans are incredibly excited to see Boruto return in a matter of days and everyone can simply hope that the wait is worth it once the first chapter does get published.
