Other components such as handling, braking, offroad ability, etc. are less of a factor for drag racing.

Therefore, it's no surprise that some of the most exotic brand names from Bugatti and BMW to Lamborghini, Porsche, and the almighty Koenigsegg reign supreme in the drag-racing portion of Forza 5 Horizon.
2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
While it lacks topline launch scores that are often required to blow drag racing competition away from the start due to its heavier body frame, the S2-Class 2011 Bugatti Veyron Supersport more than atones for it through its blistering 9.9-speed rate and perfect 10 acceleration score.
Asone of the fastest cars in Forza Horizon 5, the Veyron Super Sport operates a huge 8.0L quad-turbocharged W16 engine that churns out over 1180 horsepower. As a result, the AWD hypercar can do 0-60 in 2.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 267 mph, making it ideal for short-distance drag racing.
2014 Porsche 918 Spyder
Thanks to its perfect 10 acceleration and launch scores, the 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder will easily get off the starting line faster than most cars in Forza Horizon 5. Once it does so, the S2-Class hybrid supercar will likely maintain its lead via its 8.8-speed score.

The 918 Spyder uses a 4.6L naturally aspirated hybrid V8, which is bolstered by two electric motors to produce up to 887 horsepower and a top speed of 214 mph. Thanks to its lighter carbon fiber chassis that weighs 3,692 pounds, the car is able to fly off the starting line and speed up at an impossible clip to beat.
2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Forza Edition
While the stock version of the 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is also a worthy drag racing competitor in the popular Xbox exclusive game, its Forza Edition upgrade adds even more overall speed to the AWD S2-Class supercar. The Forza Edition of the Lambo Sesto holds perfect 10 launch and acceleration scores to go with a lightning-quick 8.4-speed rating.
While less important for drag racing, the Lambo Sesto FE also holds perfect 10 braking and handling scores, making it one of the most well-rounded cars of all. The expensive ultra-lightweight blazer (2200 pounds) operates a powerful 5.2L naturally aspirated V10 engine that will crank out over 570 horsepower to complete a one-mile drag race in under 20 seconds. It can even reach a top speed of 271 mph.
1965 Hoonigan Ford "Hoonicorn" Mustang
Dubbed the "Hoonicorn" for its unique versatility, the 1965 Hoonigan Mustang is a great car for drag racing as well as drifting. The S2-Class custom drifter may not launch (7.4) as fast as some of the other drag racers, but it will more than hold its own due to its perfect 1o acceleration and superior 9.2-speed scores.
The Hoonicorn channels massive force due to its large 6.7L twin-turbocharged V8 engine that can produce a whopping 1400 horsepower. As such, the car can blaze its way to a top speed of 255 mph, including doing 0-60 in a blistering 1.8 seconds.
2019 Rimac Concept Two
One of the more underrated cars in the game includes the excellent 2019 drag racer Rimac Concept Two. The Croatian S2-Class electric hypercar boasts a perfect 10 launch score, a near-perfect 9.9 acceleration rate to go with an impressive 9.1-speed rating.

The cool concept car operates electric four motors for each wheel, which allows the vehicle to churn out nearly 1900 horsepower and reach a top speed of 258 mph. The car's 2-speed transmission also reduces shifting time and allows for fast-paced acceleration including going 0-186 mph in just over 11 seconds.
2019 Bugatti Divo
While the 2018 Bugatti Chiron may reach a faster top speed (10), the 2019 Bugatti Divo (9.6) has a superior launch and a perfect 10 acceleration. Also equipped with 9.9 handling and 9.5 braking scores, the S2-Class Divo is able to reach a max speed of 236 mph.
The French AWD hypercar operates a huge 8.0L quad-turbocharged W16 engine that can muster roughly 1480 horsepower to pick up speed at a pace that cannot be eclipsed. Moreover, the car adds nearly 100-pounds of downforce over the 2018 Chiron to reduce drag and increase overall speed.
2011 BMW X5 M Forza Edition
Another highly versatile car that can aptly handle road racing as well as drag racing, the 2011 BMW X5 M Forza Edition is an absolute monster on any track. The DLC car requires a VIP Membership Pack to acquire but is worth it due to its perfect 10 launch, acceleration, and handling scores.
Also boasting a solid 8.0-speed rating, the S2-Class performance SUV uses a muscular 4.4L twin-turbocharged V8 engine capable of producing 547 horsepower. As such, the beemer will fire off the line like a rocket and accelerate as fast as any competitor in a drag race.
2020 Koenigsegg Jesko
Easily one of the fastest cars in the entire game (if not the fastest), the 2020 Koenigsegg Jesko is a freak of nature. The RWD extreme track hypercar boasts an immaculate 10-speed rating that will almost certainly outpace the competition. Between its topline speed of over 300 mph and its Light Speed Transmission that uses a 9-speed, 7-clutch automatic layout, the Jesko is an absolute burner.
The Swedish hypercar uses a 5.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine capable of churning out a max of 1600 horsepower, as well as a front splitter and flaps that create extreme downforce. As such, very few cars will be able to outdo the 2020 Jesko in a drag race.
