Does the Ark Encounter offer AAA discounts? ›

How much are tickets to the Ark Encounter? One-day tickets are $54.95 for adults (ages 18-59), $44.95 for seniors (ages 60 and older), $24.95 for youths (ages 11 to 17) and children under 10 are free in 2022.

To avoid the crowds, it's advisable to visit during weekdays or early in the morning. The Ark Encounter opens at 9:00 am and closes between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm, depending on the season.

At the ark encounter you will want at least 3-4 hours. There is a snack bar in the lower level and a restaurant outside. At the creation museum you should plan on buying the 2-day ticket. One for inside and one for outside.

As you enter the Ark, you can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit, or at least, I did. Much walking and you walk on ramps or they do have elevators. The Ark itself is 510 ft long, 85 ft wide, and 51 ft high. You go on a self-guided tour, so you can go at your own pace.

The zoo, Children's Zoo, kangaroo walkabout, and animal shows are included with Ark Encounter admission. Camel rides and camel encounters have an additional cost. Check the daily schedule for hours.

The Ark Encounter takes very seriously its responsibility to ensure that its attractions are family friendly. Due to this, we require all guests to wear clothing that is appropriate. Inappropriate clothing at our locations includes, but is not limited to: Clothing with obscene language or graphics.

Don't forget the extra activities outside of the ark! Kids will love the Ararat Ridge Zoo that is free with admission. See and learn about animals from around the world, such as yaks, emus, kangaroos, and lizards. Some are available for petting.

Parking is $15 for standard vehicles or $20 for oversized vehicles and paid upon entry. Lifetime Boarding passes include free parking. Pets are not permitted at the Ark Encounter. All service animals are freely admitted.

Choosing between the two? The Ark Encounter is more of an experience, you can walk through, not read everything and glean a lot of information. Just the magnitude of the Ark puts the biblical account in perspective. The layout of the attraction lends itself to younger children with energy to burn.
