(F/N) cleaned his blaster, carefully, slowly taking extra care of it, the weapon was his life, he would never forget that. Years of being a resistance fighter had taught him that, that and always shoot first. (F/N) was sitting on a resistance frigate, in the cargo bay to be exact, leaning against his black x-wing. (F/N) was the second best pilot in the resistance, right after Poe Dameron of course.
(F/N) finished cleaning his blaster, and put it to the side of his x-wing. (F/N) loved his blaster, it was his best friend, it had saved his life more than once, not only with the First Order. (F/N) heard his communicator chirp, "Yeah?" he said into it. "Captain (L/N)," the comms woman said, "the General needs to see you," (F/N) sighed, he clicked his communicator. "Tell her i'll be right there," (F/N) turned his communicator off and put it in his jacket pocket. (F/N) started to jog over to the hangar bay door, he was going pretty fast, when he bumped into someone on the way. As soon as it happened (F/N) jumped right back up, full of apologies, "I'm so sorry, are you okay?" (F/N) noticed it was a woman, "Yeah, i'm fine," (F/N) held out his hand. The woman gladly took it, she brushed her dark hair out of her eyes, (F/N) looked right at her and his eyes bulged. "I apologize again for that mam," Rey sort of looked at (F/N),"I guess you know who I am," (F/N) tilted his head,"Yeah, that... kind of gave it away," (F/N) gestured to the lightsaber that was hanging on Rey's waist. Rey nodded, "Right...and you are?" (F/N) responded quickly, "Captain (F/N) (L/N)," Rey looked at (F/N). "I'm Rey," (F/N) nodded and glanced at the lightsaber, 'so cool' he thought.
(F/N) cleared his throat, "It was good to meet you but I do really need to be going, the generals going to kill me," (F/N) started to turn quickly to the hangar door, but Rey interrupted "you're going to the general as well," she began to walk up to him. (F/N) started to walk to the hangar doors, Rey followed next to him, "Yeah she called me over, my guess she is planning an attack an needs my 'expertise.'" Rey started walking a bit faster so she was a bit farther along than (F/N), "Which is?" (F/N) looked at her a little confused. (F/N) race walked so he was in front of her, "I'm an expert marksman, I don't miss." Rey jogged ahead of (F/N), "You're serious," (F/N) smirked, he started to jog at a pace slightly slower than Rey, "Yeah, my trick is..." (F/N) broke into a full on sprint to the bridge.
Rey just rolled her eyes and sprinted to catch up to (F/N), she caught up to him easily, she was easily able to move around the people in the ships hallway. (F/N)'s smirk faded when he saw Rey pass him. Rey slowed down on purpose and turned around so she was looking back at him. (F/N) caught up to Rey, out of breath, he knelled down, he looked up at her, glaring, he could barely breath. (F/N) breathed deeply...which resembled gasping, "How...do you...run...like that?" Rey smiled and squatted so she was on the same level as (F/N),"one word...practice." Rey smiled and walked over to the end of the hallway, she tapped the turbolift button, after a few seconds, Rey looked at (F/N), he was recovering, "Well are you coming?" (F/N) looked back up, and started limping pitifully to the turbolift, other members of the resistance, stopped what they were doing to look at (F/N). They all stared, at the man who had bragged that he had taken out a platoon of stormtroopers, limp over to a smirking Jedi. (F/N) fixed all the watchers with a glare, "I forgot to stretch," he muttered to no one in particular. Rey shook her head and hit the turbolift button.
The lift rose quickly, and instantly the pair were on the bridge, (F/N) composed himself quickly, and started walking to the center of the bridge where the General was waiting. "General Organa," (F/N) said walking over to the holotable, the General glanced at Rey and (F/N), "Captain (F/N), Rey," the General acknowledged them both. (F/N) walked over to the holotable and leaned on it, "What did you need me for?" the General looked at (F/N), "Actually I need both of you, I need the two of you to complete a mission, that's why I called you." (F/N) glanced back at Rey, she looked back at the General a bit surprised, she wasn't used to being called for missions apparently.
(F/N) turned to face the holotable, it produced a hologram of a First Order base, "We've learned that the First Order, has recently made attempts to start producing a clone army, our informants have said that, more information on the project, is on that base, we can't afford to let the First Order produce a clone army." The General paused to look at the base, "A direct assault on the base would be suicide, their defenses are to well prepared, so I need a small team to infiltrate the base, get information about the new clone army, and destroy the base." (F/N) looked at the General with wide eyes to see if she was joking, but as usual she wasn't, she met his gaze with her hard stare. "Why us?" Rey asked the General, Organa didn't even hesitate, "Because you two don't need a team to function, you're quiet, and you're the best ground fighters I can find." (F/N) glanced at Rey, he turned back to the General, "I'm in," he stated.

"Why did I agree to this?" (F/N) muttered to himself as he was trudging through the sewer with Rey. Rey glanced at (F/N) as he was stomping through the sludge, "lightly walk on it, that way it won't splatter." (F/N) glared at Rey but took her advice, the pair were walking through the sewer to get into the base's trash compactor, once they made it out of the trash compactor, they had a small walk to go to the archive room. (F/N) wanted the mission to be over quickly, he couldn't stand the smell, and Rey's constant mocking of him put him off even more.
(F/N)'s frown eased when he saw the small area that was the trash compactor, Rey ran ahead so she was in the compactor, "This is it," she stated. (F/N) nodded and started walking to her, Rey pulled out her lightsaber and ignited it, the blue blade, caused the small sewer to glow. (F/N) smiled to himself, 'Oh yeah that's why I did this' he thought, but then an alarm went off in the trash compactor. A transparent glass wall closed right in front of (F/N), locking Rey in the compactor, "Shit," (F/N) said when he realized what was happening. Rey looked confused, "They know were here?" (F/N) shook his head, "Worse...it's trash day, which means the compactor has to empty itself," he nodded at the walls to emphasize his point. The walls whirred to life, they started to push together, to compact the trash, (F/N) pulled of his pack which contained all his gear. Rey pushed her lighsaber into the wall, to try to cut a hole into the wall, so she could escape. (F/N) knew she wouldn't have enough time though, the wall's were closing to fast and she was cutting to slow, (F/N) didn't like her chances. Finally, (F/N) pulled out what he was looking for, his communicator, he began to work on it furiously. (F/N) was trying to rewire it so it would do something else besides talk to other people, thankfully he had payed attention when he was in the hangar listening to the resistance's mechanics talk. Rey noticed (F/N), "What are you doing?" she said, she was beginning to panic now, she clearly didn't like the fact that the walls were halfway closed.
(F/N) didn't reply, he was working on his communicator, he was almost done, Rey had barely made a dent with her lightsaber. "Yes," (F/N) cheered he had finished re-configuring his communicator, he started the next challenge, getting it to work correctly, (F/N) started tapping on the buttons repeatedly, nothing happened, the walls were pushing the trash into Rey, she had stopped cutting. Rey was trying to slow the walls down, she tried using the force, but she wasn't having any luck, she couldn't focus. Rey could barely move, "If you're going to do something do it now!" (F/N) was frantically working, until, *BEEP* the communicator fizzled out and died, (F/N) smiled. He looked at the trash compactors walls, they had stopped moving.
(F/N) dropped his EMP emitter and ran over to the glass wall, "you okay?" he asked looking at Rey with concern. Rey stood back up, and put her hand on the glass so she was leaning on it, "It's a little cramped in here, but i'll live, thanks for that by the way." (F/N) smiled, "Okay, just...use your lightsaber, so we can get into the base," Rey looked through the trash for a bit until she was able to produce her lightsaber. Rey did a mock salute with it, "will do Captain." (F/N) sighed and sat in the sludge, exhausted, "Just cut the walls open," he breathed out, Rey smiled.

(F/N) climbed through the hole Rey had cut, "I will never feel clean again," (F/N) said as he looked at his wet jacket sleeve. Rey didn't react to (F/N)'s comment, she closed her eyes so she could focus, "Follow me," she said; Rey began to walk through the corridor. (F/N) followed her, blaster withdrawn, ready to shoot on sight. Rey suddenly stopped in front,
of a corner, (F/N) didn't notice, he rounded the corner and almost walked right into the hallway but Rey grabbed him and pulled him back around the corner. "What are you doing?" (F/N) said quietly, Rey put a finger to her lips, "troopers" she said quietly. (F/N) glanced around the corner and sure enough, the First Order had troops all over the door. "That the door we need to go through?" (F/N) asked, as he moved his head to look at Rey, she nodded. (F/N) nodded he pulled out his blaster, Rey put her hand on the barrel and shook her head. (F/N) raised an eyebrow Rey held up a finger, and started to walk around the corridor, she gestured for (F/N) to follow. (F/N) didn't at first, but he took a breath and walked over the corner, ready to fight.But Rey had it covered she had her hand out, and pulled the weapons from the stormtroopers, using the force. (F/N) smiled and shot nine blasts each hitting their mark leaving only one trooper. Rey stood in front of him, she held out her hand and waved it across his face, "You will take us into that room." (F/N) smiled, and lowered his weapon, "I will take you into that room," the soldier said. "Jedi mind trick," (F/N) said, Rey turned to look at (F/N) and smiled, "Jedi mind trick" she repeated. (F/N) watched as the trooper entered a code into the door, and it opened. "Do we need him anymore?" Rey asked (F/N), he shook his head, "you will go to your barracks and go to sleep." The trooper looked at Rey and said, "I will go to my barracks and go to sleep," the trooper walked out of the room. (F/N) watched with wide eyes, "You have to teach me how to do that," (F/N) said to Rey, he holstered his blaster. Rey smirked and walked over to the main terminal, "I don't think you're Jedi material." (F/N) shook his head, and walked over to Rey as she began looking through the files on the terminal. (F/N) started making copies of the files, he plugged his drive into the terminal so he could make a copy for himself. (F/N) started the process, Rey was checking for certain files, than, *Ding*, "Download complete," the terminal echoed through the room.
(F/N) pulled the drive out, "Okay now the hard part," Rey finished (F/N)'s thought, "how to destroy this entire base." (F/N) took off his pack, "I have some sticky explosives," Rey rubbed her temple, "that won't be enough." (F/N) was about to join her in her defeat, when he saw it, a droid, moving fuel. (F/N) smiled, "I have an idea," Rey removed her hands from her head and looked at the droid. "I don't get it," (F/N) walked over to the droid, "if we can find wherever the main fuel storage is I can put the bombs into it, and set of a chain reaction." Rey looked at (F/N) like he was crazy, "You realize the explosion would take us out with it, and wouldn't the fuel tank be designed to withstand the explosion." (F/N) crossed the room, he was on a role now, "I have a remote detonator, so if we can make it back to the sewage pipe, then we can make it out, and the tank is designed to withstand external explosions, so if the bombs explode inside the tank, it will destroy them."
Rey looked at (F/N), "It's not perfect but...it'll have to do," (F/N) almost punched her, but she was all he had, he couldn't hurt her. "Okay, so the terminal should have the location," (F/N) said as he walked over to the terminal. "Fuel storage," (F/N) said to the terminal, a map of the base popped up, and the computer had a red dot for the location of the fuel storage. "Okay so the fuel storage is...shit," (F/N) just stared at the terminal with his eyes wide. Rey walked over to the terminal and mimicked (F/N)'s expression, "across the courtyard," (F/N) put his head on the terminal. "The courtyard is the most guarded part of the base, we're talking walkers, turrets, most troops in the base, we'll get gunned down the second we step foot in the courtyard." Rey looked at the courtyard she couldn't see anyway around it, "You could steal the uniforms off the troopers, and impersonate one, you could take me prisoner, we could sneak across then." (F/N) looked at Rey, "It's not perfect...and it'll probably get us killed...but it'll have to do," she smirked at (F/N)'s joke. (F/N) walked out of the room, "I shouldn't have agreed to this, (F/N) said to himself."

"I hate this armor," (F/N) said, Rey turned her head to look at him, "The chest piece is to loose." Rey turned her head back to the hallway, "Then you shouldn't have shot so many of them in the chest." (F/N) put his blaster to Rey's back, "Can you break out of the cuffs?" Rey nodded. (F/N) walked out off the facility, into the courtyard, the rain attacked the pair. Rey looked at the sky, she still couldn't get over rain, after living on Jakku for so long, she loved the rain, smiling. As they entered the courtyard a spotlight fell on them, (F/N) tightened his grip on Rey's shoulder but the spotlight left them as soon as it came. (F/N) let out a sigh of relief, the pair were getting stared at by other troopers, but no one was stooping them...yet. Rey kept staring at the sky, (F/N) took notice, "keep moving resistance scum." (F/N) shoved Rey forward, she Rey turned her head to look at him, he cringed behind his helmet at the look she gave him. (F/N) kept moving, he didn't realize how much he was sweating until the two made it to the other side. (F/N) just stayed quiet until the pair ducked into the fuel containment room. "I can't believe that worked," (F/N) gasped as he took of his helmet, Rey removed her cuffs but took extra care not to break them. "I could sense your fear, I didn't think you would make it," (F/N) walked behind Rey so he could open his pack that she was wearing. "I'm full of surprises," (F/N) said as he took out the explosives, he opened each tank and put one in. (F/N) grabbed the detonator from his pack, put it on his belt, and closed his pack, he put his helmet back on. "Put the cuffs back on," (F/N) said, Rey slipped them on, the pair were about to leave the room but an alarm echoed through the base.
"They must have found the bodies," (F/N) said, "we need to go," Rey said, she started to run to the door. (F/N) almost laughed seeing Rey try to keep over sized handcuffs on and try to run was hilarious, "Are you coming or not?" (F/N), snapped out of his laughter, he ran to the door of the container, "Lets finish this," (F/N) took a deep breath and opened the blast doors to the courtyard. The pair walked through the courtyard, in a First Order base, when said base was on high alert now. (F/N) wasn't worried this time, every trooper seemed to preoccupied to bother the them. (F/N) allowed himself to hope, maybe they would make it out alive, those hopes were stomped out in the form of a nosy First Order Commander. "Where are you taking that prisoner?" the commander asked walking over to the supposed stormtrooper.
"I was taking her to the barracks, sir," the commander didn't hesitate, "the barracks are the other way." (F/N) swallowed, "Are they? I apologize, I just got transferred here, and i'm still trying to find my way around." The Commander's gaze didn't lighten even a little, "There haven't been any troop transfers recently, what's your unit number?" (F/N) swallowed, then sighed, and then he let go of Rey, "it's FU," he put his blaster on top Of Rey's shoulder and shot the commander.
(F/N) didn't waste any time, he started to run to the other side of the courtyard, just assuming Rey, was running near him. First Order troopers were firing at them, from all directions, (F/N) felt pain in his leg. He had been hit, he fell, he couldn't stand, he reached for his blaster but thought better off it. He grabbed the detonator, but before he could activate it, an explosion went off a few feet away from him. (F/N) went flying, the detonator flew out of his hand. (F/N) looked around, he crawled over to a stack of crates to protect him from the troopers. He couldn't stand up, the ringing in his ears was continuing, he pulled his blaster out. He could hear the troopers yelling at...something probably him, he shut his eyes, he was ready to make a last stand. But before (F/N) could move Rey jumped over the crates and looked back when she noticed (F/N) she ran over and sat next to him. "Can you move?" Rey questioned, (F/N) was shocked he could hear, but he nodded, and added "with help." Rey looked around the corner of the crates, she almost lost her head due to a blaster shot. Rey sighed,"We're about halfway to the end of the courtyard, if we're gonna get out alive, we have to fight." Rey stood up, she grabbed (F/N) by the shoulder, he commented "if we can make it out of the courtyard, and back into the compactor, I can blow the charges," (F/N) coughed. Rey pulled (F/N) up, she noticed that he looked tired, he probably had head damage. "Hey...(F/N) look at me" (F/N) moved his eyes slowly to meet her.
"You told me you didn't miss with your blaster, you were lying?" (F/N)'s eyes regained focus. "If you insult me like that again, I will demonstrate my excellent ability on you," Rey smiled, "good, I'll deflect, you shoot." Rey ignited her lightsaber, "Ready?" (F/N) nodded, Rey jumped up, and moved her lightsaber around her. (F/N) followed and fired a single shot, one stormtrooper fell dead. (F/N) smiled and walked behind Rey, he fired another shot, another trooper fell dead, his smile grew wider.
(F/N) smiled and fired another shot, and another, more troopers were falling, "Hey Rey?" Rey didn't turn her head, she was so focused on blocking, she couldn't turn. "Yeah," she said after awhile, (F/N) didn't take his eyes from his scope, "I've taken out 14...15 troopers now, how many have you gotten?" Rey deflected another blast at another stormtrooper, "about 12, why?" (F/N) smiled and shot another trooper, "How bout this? Person who take out more stormtroopers buys the first round of drinks," Rey almost looked at (F/N), "that's ridiculous, it should be the whole night of drinks," Rey slashed at a trooper that was to close. (F/N) laughed, "You're on...and Rey...i'm at 26," (F/N) smirked, Rey deflected blaster fire to a crate of explosives, the crate exploded, taking a squad of troopers with it. Rey smiled as she knew (F/N)'s smirk had disappeared, "Well that mean's your 7 behind." (F/N) growled and kept shooting, Rey smiled as she kept deflecting, (F/N) was about to suggest that they try to take the base, instead of destroying it, but then he saw it, a walker, Rey saw it to. Her smile faded quickly, (F/N) looked at it, "Retreat?" (F/N) asked,"Retreat" Rey agreed. Rey grabbed (F/N), by the shoulder and started to run, "Wait" (F/N) seemed to realize, "What?" Rey said not stopping. "The detonator, I lost it," Rey groaned, the pair ran to the end of the courtyard and took cover in the shelter. "Where did you drop it?" Rey asked (F/N) pointed over to the explosion site where he had been hit.
"Right their but I don't see..." (F/N) stopped when he saw that Rey was holding out her hand with her eyes closed. (F/N) saw the detonator sail through the air and right into Rey's grasp, "lets go," Rey said breathlessly. (F/N) grabbed the detonator, Rey grabbed him again, the pair ran, not caring about the blaster fire, nor about the stormtroopers. (F/N) practically cried when he saw the hole Rey had cut into the wall with her lightsaber, but he didn't when stormtroopers rushed in, blocking the pairs path. Rey didn't even comment she force pushed them out of the way. Rey let go of (F/N), sje started to deflect more fire from the stormtroopers and turned around to give him time to climb into the hole, once he was inside Rey jumped in after him. (F/N) hobbled through the trash compactor, and into the pipe the pair had originally came through. Rey made it through the compactor easily, she grabbed (F/N) and dragged him through the pipe, she sheathed her lightsaber and put it on her side, "BLOW IT" she yelled, (F/N) activated the detonator without a second thought. Rey grabbed onto (F/N) as the explosion went through the base, she used her remaining strength to push them as far down the pipe as she could, and then darkness.

(F/N) opened his eyes slowly, he was outside, in the rain, somehow, (F/N)'s question was answered when he saw a resistance pilot standing over him. "Am I alive?" (F/N) asked the pilot,the pilot noticed (F/N) was awake, "Good to see you're up captain, yes you're alive." (F/N) groaned the pilot walked over to him and pulled him so he was sitting up and leaning against a rock. (F/N) smiled when he saw why the pilot had done this, the base was on fire, it was done, his smile left him quickly though. "Where's Rey?" the pilot was looking at the base, smiling, he turned to look at (F/N), "she's right next to you, she's still out though." (F/N) moved his head, while wincing, his whole body hurt.
(F/N) looked at her, "Rey...Rey...REY, get up we won," Rey's eyes snapped open, she looked at him, he then noticed how tired she looked, "What? Did we win?" (F/N) lifted his sore arm, and pointed at the base. "The base...we blew it up, mission accomplished." Rey suddenly gained new energy, "What? We did," she saw the burning base. (F/N) had never seen anyone get so happy so quickly, Rey looked at (F/N), "We did it," (F/N) was about to make a quick quip, but Rey interrupted him. She kissed him right on the lips, (F/N) shut his eyes for a bit, he was happy, but then she put her hand on his shoulder, pain overtook him. (F/N) let out a groan and Rey broke away, "I'm sorry, I thought you... " (F/N) interrupted, "No, no i'm glad you did that it's just...don't touch me...at all. I am in so much pain...could you just sit down next to me, that'll work." Rey smiled, she spoke softly "alright," she sat next to (F/N), and just looked at the burning base. (F/N) cleared his throat, "You know...I was the one who blew up the base...so I was the one who took out the most stormtroopers...so drinks are on you." (F/N) was silenced when Rey grasped his shoulder again.
