My first year of NDSU was during COVID-19, and its a well-known fact that the school tried their best... the year was difficult academically, but the student life and community were great! I was still able to make lots of friends and its honestly why I re-enrolled.

I found very welcoming people within my major and professors who knew my name. The clubs and events were great and it is even easy to start your own club. I miss the wellness center everyday, you won't find wellness centers like that in other colleges (especially the aquatic center). There are also tons of opportunities leadership positions (great for your resume), on-campus jobs, and housing. The campus is even small enough to walk from on side to the other without freezing, although, make sure to invest in a good winter coat.

Overall I have been very impressed with NDSU. I have been strictly online so I am not sure about on campus, but online the professors have mostly been pretty prompt with their responses. NDSU also offers many programs and assistance to students like tutoring and TRIO for support if students need it. I like the variety of classes available online but there could be more availability online. Although, I understand the need to be in person, it would be nice for those like me with mental health issues or are extremely introverted to have the online option.
