We have had a Whirlpool dishwasher for about 2.5 years and have been happy with how it cleans dishes. About a year ago we replaced our counter top and in the process had to adjust the bend in the mountain brackets that attach the dishwasher to the underside of the counter. This requires flexing the thin piece of aluminum at the perforated line. In the process, one of the brackets snapped. The other was barely still intact and broke several months later. I tried jerry-rigging them, but eventually decided to replace them and called Whirlpool customer service to ask for replacement parts.Unfortunately, Whirlpool wanted to charge me $10.50 apiece and another $9.00 for shipping and handling. These parts could not cost more than a few cents apiece. I was shocked that they would charge me $30.00 to replace these flawed parts. Never have I had such and experience with any customer service department. The three people I spoke with were all rude and unapologetic about my situation. Two blamed it on the install...Ive installed plenty of dishwashers and never had any problems in the past. Even if it was a failure on my behalf, the simple replacement of the parts for a reasonable charge would have been fine by me. I told them Id be happy to pay a few dollars and to pay the full shipping fee (which was also high, in my opinion), but they refused to meet me halfway. I can only think that this is part of their business plan...make dishwashers with sub-par parts, and then over charge for the replacement parts when they fail. Well, I re-upped my jerry-rigging efforts and have improved the engineering of the faulty part. Save my $30. But Whirlpool will never again get my business and Ill be sure to steer clients and friends away from this brand as well.

I chose not to buy a extended warranty as my last fridge from KitchenAid is over 20 years old and never had a single problem with and still operates like NEW. I can’t say that for my Whirlpool which was very expensive. It has been with an issue within the ice maker for over 8 months. Every computer board has been replaced twice with no fix. Then tried to replace the cooling fan within the ice maker unit seven times. Whirlpool could not find the right part, as the wiring had changed mid model and have no record of when it was changed and what models affected.Certified Whirlpool technician was great and so apologetic. I had taken 7 Mondays off to meet him to only have the wrong part time and time again. Whirlpool support tech line basically said he was wrong, yet I witnessed all visits and my 3 plug fan unit did not match Whirlpools newer part that was 2 plugs. I was not happy missing so much work because Whirlpool is incompetent. Finally my tech ordered a whole new ice maker, including the cooling fan. Lo and behold, Eighth time, parts did not match. He again called Whirlpool tech support and reordered another set one final time. Another Monday to find that this time the parts did fit, but cooling fan still did not work. He called Whirlpool tech support again. They started to trace wires one by one.Whirlpool tech support said it was a bad or broken wire somewhere in the cavity of the fridge buried in insulation and was not replaceable. In other words I have a $3000+ refrigerator that is useless. Whirlpool said they would replace the unit. But when I called, they said since I didnt have an extended warranty, they would prorate it and it’s going to cost me over $1000 of my money to to replace due to a manufacturer wiring defect after only 2 years. What the Heck, I was willing to pay to fix it, but Whirlpool can’t fix it. Don’t buy a Whirlpool product as they are Junk and do not stand behind their BRAND!!! No matter who I talked to, they kept falling back to their word track of it’s my fault I didn’t get an expensive extended warranty, yet they can’t fix a wire they installed incorrectly.Wires don’t just break after 2 years. You get longer warranties for cars for the Love of God. I asked them to just send me the money they were willing to put towards a new Whirlpool fridge, so I could buy a Real Brand that stands behind their products like KitchenAid. Of course the answer was NO. Buyer Beware, don’t buy a Whirlpool anything. Did I mention my Whirlpool certified technician was having a Whirlpool dishwasher issue that Whirlpool can’t fix and that’s his profession. Same type of response. Don’t Buy Whirlpool Products, they are Junk and you will get No support from Whirlpool!!!

I expect more from a quality machine. A telephone call to Whirlpool resulted in two ten minute holds while being shuffled between representatives and each representative tried to sell me an extended warranty for another $289. Whirlpool should take full responsibility for this faulty product and not act like a telephone support center located in Eastern Europe. I am not pleased with this (lack of) resolution and do not plan to purchase another Whirlpool product.

I purchased a new Whirlpool 29 cubic ft. french door bottom freezer Refrigerator 11-22-2013. On 4-18-2014, I noticed water on the floor and realized my ice maker had quit working and the ice melted. I called Stantons APL. where I purchased it from and a service tech came on 4-22-2014. He checked the fridge out and after five mins said this is a model that has a known defect in it and it would have to be totally rebuilt. I then called Whirlpool and told them I want a new Refrigerator. I told them I paid for a new appliance, not a rebuilt one. The Whirlpool rep said they would need a second opinion and scheduled a different company to come out for service. This happened on 4-25-2014 which by this time I lost all my food in ref and freezer. He was there about ten mins. and said its gone out and it will have to be totally rebuilt. He calls Whirlpool tech support to help him figure out how to take out bottom door because he didnt know how. WHIRLPOOL tells the tech they want him to tear my refrigerator apart and run diag. test on it to see how it performs under certain codes. I tell Whirlpool they can run all the test they want after they replace my refrigerator and my food. The Whirlpool rep says, That aint happening. So I say, Then I need to talk to your supervisor. After going through four supervisors, I finally get to the person who reluctantly agrees to replace the refrigerator and says give her 24 to 48 hours to make it happen. 60 hours, still waiting on a response. Will let you know what happens. Shame on you Whirlpool for deceiving the public.

Of course, both air diffuser issues occurred just outside the one year warranty. Then the range oven has required two spark modulator replacements – again just outside the one year warranty. Whirlpool’s solution: buy another 1 year warranty to get it fixed; or buy a new Whirlpool appliance at a discounted price.

I had the first microwave for 6 years. My husband messed it up so got a new one, same over the stove type. It has lots of programs. Its a rather large microwave, plus it has a steamer which cooks vegetables with steam while I am doing the rest of the meal and whats more important is its quiet. The site is fantastic not just in width but in depth. The best thing about this microwave too is that it has a frozen cycle which does not partially cook the food like most microwaves and the defrost is the same, it does not partially cook it actually defrosts completely without cooking it. This is by far the best microwave I have ever had, and I wouldnt want any other brand. It might cost a little more than the usual brands but its worth it. I also have a mini Whirlpool on my Countertop for my grandchild to use so he keeps away from stovetop at all times.

The starter/overload relay fridge is only 4 years old (out of my pocket). I was told by a parts company this problem the company knows about and will not resolve. Whirlpool sent a new sensor and control valve to replace the bad unit. Here we go again, on 3/2013 - same parts same problems. We now have the cost again to have the parts installed for the second time. I have spent 1/2 the cost to have the parts put in than the cost for the heater. The washers does not clean everything - does not use enough water to clean - leaves your delicates so wrinkled and clothes in general beat up. The dryer decides when it thinks your clothes are dry when they are actually still very wet... very noisy. Whirlpool must have sold out because quality integrity sure is gone.

To start with, the ice maker drips non-stop. I have to check it several times a day to make sure its not puddling up and running my hardwood floor. Because of the continuous that, drip, freeze cycle, it creates an ice dam around the rubber boot between the ice maker and ice bin....which they located in the door where there is inadequate cold, so the cubes melt, making even more of a mess, causing it to be unable to dispense them because it is one big mass... oh and that creates an ice dam also, so on top of replacing a torn boot a couple times a year I have to chisel out the ice bucket and defrost it once a week.Want more? The ice tastes horrible. I have no idea why. It didnt in my last refrigerator. The Tap water tastes fine, I disconnected the line running in to the ice maker and tried the water from there and its fine. So somewhere in the ice maker, something is wrong. There is more. The unit is a year old and now inside the refrigerator it smells like gamey shrimp. I have no shrimp in the freezer, fridge, not have I. I dont store anything in poor sealing containers, nothing has spilled, I removed all drawers, panels, shelves and scrubbed the whole inside with bleach/water. I changed every filter, checked the drip pan (clean), and still half-rotten shrimp smell.My last refrigerator was an Amana from 1986. I bought it used in 93 and owned it until I got this Whirlpool. Never had a problem with it. I have had non-stop problems with this over-priced Whirlpool and I guarantee it is the LAST Whirlpool product I will ever own.

No problems they are great appliances. On Dec.22, I bought a Whirlpool Duet. For 6 months, constant repairs and rebuilds were needed; new computer panels, pumps and new drums. They cant fix it. We have tried everything to get the Whirlpool Factory to fix it or replace it. So far, I have spent twice the original cost to fix the machine (but to no avail) and now you want me to spend another $500-$600 to try to fix it again? No more!

I contacted them by phone several times and it took them three months to send someone (A and E sears repair). Two months passed and I did not get the parts necessary or a replacement washer. I kept calling and finally they sent someone again in May 2011. They said they where going to order the parts because the new company was not going to replace the machine, even though it was already damaged. They said I would get the parts between three-five business days. I only got one part. A and E sent a repair guy again on the 22nd of June. This one said they needed the entire machine in parts and that he would order the parts. I called A and E one week later and they said they were waiting for the on manufacturer to send the parts (Whirlpool). The 26th and the 27th of July, I got the parts. On the 22nd of July, another repairman came and said we needed more parts. Today, August 16, 2011, I called Whirlpool and A and E and now they said the parts wont be here till after October 26, which by then I would have to pay for the parts and labor if I wanted it fixed because by then the one-year warranty would have expired. So here I am with a $700 washer, which was never used and they refused to fix/replace. They sold me a lemon!

The stove was installed 2-18-17, and its now 4-6-17, still havent been able to use it. Is this really off-gassing or is this what Americans have to contend with now! Oh and theres the little sticker that says Made in America and in small print it says designed and assembled in America, but no mention as to where the parts came from!!! Initially, the company sent a man for demonstration, and at that time, the machine was making a sound and the mechanic removed his back plate and his components and saw that the plate of heating rod is unscrewed. He temporarily tightened that plate with normal screw, and after two months, the same sound is coming again.At present, we are not using the product for the past 5 days and launched a complaint to customer care. The call attender said that the problem will be solved in 20 hours but no one came within 4 days. Today, 21 September 2011, I called to customer care. He was telling me that the complaint has been attended by our attender and at present, no complaint is pending. The washing machine is in warranty period and I am not satisfied with the service of Whirlpool. At present, I am using the product of Godrej and LG, and the service of both company is very good then Whirlpool.

We have owned our side-by-side model # ED5HVEXVB02 for just over six years now. The first thing that went bad was the ice machine (just days out of warranty). Over the next 4 years weve had to replace 2 of the drawers; they break really easily. Here we are just 6 years out and we are on our 3rd icemaker. This refrigerator is a lemon. I sincerely believe they designed an inferior product so that they could get you hooked. We probably would have been better off after the first issue if we had sold this lemon instead of spending all of this money and future money that it will take to keep this product going.

One and a half month later after 5 service calls still no working washer. Whirlpool customer service just adds insult to injury. They refuse to replace to washer or to issue a refund. I was getting something off the top shelf (side by side refrigerator) when a 2-liter plastic bottle fell and put a hole in the bottom shelf where it sticks out under the vegetable tray. I have had grandkids sometimes stand on that shelf of our other refrigerators without ever doing any damage to it. It makes me nervous of dropping something else. I would like to send a complaint directly to Whirlpool but dont know how to reach them.

While the Whirlpool people were very professional in helping me (a shout out to them), the part I received was the wrong color. It was white; they called it a biscuit color. My oven is black. I have no idea what Whirlpool actually calls that color. Anyway, in my visit with them, I was informed the black control panel has been discontinued. Am I the only person that has a black control panel? This $280.00 part is now going to cost approximately $3,000.00 to replace the entire unit. Is there anyone that can direct me to where I can find a black replacement control panel? Way to take care of your customers Whirlpool. Solve this and I will give you a great shout out.

Its not even a year since I have had this washer / dryer--and I already made two service calls regarding the dryer. The washer does not get the clothes clean. When washing even one blanket, it bumps, grinds and does not wash well. I have had to do two loads compared to one in my Amana set. It is terrible. You have to stay with it while washing or always load. It gets uneven with any small load. Everyone I know hates this washer.

My Whirlpool range, was purchased 14 years ago. It was fine until 2 months ago. I was preparing a meal for a dinner party and the oven went from low baking into Clean mode. (This cant be done by accident, it is many step process to go into clean mode) Locking the door! When I realized what was happening I immediately turned the breaker off but we still could not open the range door. Since the oven had my potato casserole and my Teflon coated cookie sheets inside it started to emit a toxic smell choking all of us inside the house. The unit was too hot to touch so my husband and brother-in-law finally donned gloves and got the range outside. I called Whirlpool the next morning and got the run around as to what type of range it was Kenmore/Whirlpool. Whirlpool finally sent someone out to look at the range and their determination was it caught on fire and melted! The company will not do anything about the unit or all the damage it cause because the range is over 10 years old. But they did not tell me this until I had spent weeks getting estimates and gathering information for them. I TOLD THEM DURING THE INITIAL CALL THE RANGE WAS 14 YEARS OLD. I TOLD THEM THE EXACT DATE IT WAS PURCHASED. Whirlpool sent me a letter from their Claims Resolution Department saying my DISHWASHER will not be covered and misspelling my last name. I have tried to call the person ** at least 25 times and she never answers the phone, only get her voicemail. I just wanted to tell them I was a little concerned about their accuracy with the typing of the name and product..... How complete could the investigation have been if they didnt even get the product correct.The smoke/smell ruined my microwave and ceiling fan. I believe Whirlpool is going down hill in every way. WP is buying refrigerators from 3rd world countries and slapping the name on them. The delivery people were very rude with me when I was unable to give them a tip, even though I had to supply my truck to shuttle the refrig. up to my house and help them unload it. I also had to go and find them when they would not follow my directions to my house. So, they kept the wrench I loaned them; they did not have their own tools for the installation. And they refused to return it when I asked them to do so. Denvers customer service refused to respond in any way to my requests for information or complaints about the noise and delivery. Finally, their head office contacted me a month or two later, and the customer service person had initiated the discussion in argumentative attitude despite my saying I did not care anymore. I gave up on them and dont expect anything from Whirlpool anymore. While she told me that there are standard levels of acceptable noise that come from their refrigerator, she refused to acknowledge that they are not my standards, and I am the customer. Besides, I had an older Whirlpool refrig. that did not make any noise. I am sorry trusted WP. When I tried to upgrade the old refrig. - it was an expensive downgrade! Buy LG or Amana - wished I did!

It literally blew-off during the spin cycle and is hanging on by one hinge. My husband is disabled and I have had to go without using the washer for several days, waiting on a repair person not to mention the expense that will be incurred.This was a very potentially dangerous situation. My washer is barely older than one year. To add insult to injury, when I contacted the customer service department, I was told I would have to purchase and replace the lid or pay $299.00 for warranty insurance to have it covered because this is not considered a Quality Control issue.The service person has told me that both hinges and the lid will have to be ordered and replaced, leaving me without a washer for several more days. First batch turn out good, 2nd batch on fire before even get to 6 min, the burner is brightly hot and cant shut off from the panel... Saw ERR then COOL indicator... Tried but no respond from panel. The burner element wont turn off and temp keep rising white hot... The only way to shutoff is the house circuit breaker. But soon you turn on the breaker, the oven would turn on by itself and you cant switch it off. Where is the safety breaker on these range/oven when something goes beyond 500 degree..... Whirlpools response has been disgraceful, trying to blame the problem on faulty installation when thousands of people have had the same problem. Ignore ANY US companys product; their warranties are worthless and they repair, not replace. My next oven will be European because in Europe they have to automatically warranty for five years any consumer durable. Consumer Reports ratings are worthless since they dont include breakdown experience in the ratings. Never buy anything from Whirlpool. They sell rubbish and dont honor their own warranty. Check the BBB rating. My brand new double oven broke down the first time that I ran the self clean cycle. Whirlpools response was to claim that the cutout opening was 1/8 inch too narrow and therefore they would not honor the five year warranty that I had bought from them. This was a lie, as I verified the width and it was exactly that required. Others have had the same experience. Whirlpool also makes Maytag, Kitchenaid, Kenmore and Ikea.

The motor was fine, just the bearings were rusted out and were jamming the motor so that it wouldnt move. The price of a new motor, $149.00. Well thats a bit much for something that only lasts 5 years. I went on eBay and found them for $70 to $170.00. So if you have a problem where your dish wont wash at all but fills up with water, it may be nothing more than cheap bearings in the motor. If I, myself, were this companys CEO i would really consider changing companies that they have making these motors or at least the bearings. Just wanted you to know that this is the only problem I have had with this one and Im going to replace the motor now that I know what it is. Thank you Whirlpool for a day spending repairing and replacing one of your dishwashers. I learned a lot.

About two weeks after my manufacturers warranty expired, I called Whirlpool because the refrigerator wasnt working anymore. It took several weeks and the need to call four different repair companies before we finally had one that was willing and able to come attempt to repair the refrigerator. They came out, changed a few parts and left. Several weeks later, the refrigerator quit again. This time, when I called whirlpool (about June 2014), I was able to convince them to give me an extended warranty. They told me that the warranty would expire in December, and that all the work and service would be covered up to that date. This was fortunate because that repair, parts alone, was near a thousand dollars. Of course, the repair company couldnt make these repairs in my kitchen, so they had to remove the refrigerator and take it to their shop for several days. By this point, we had lost two refrigerators full of food. In mid-November 2014, the refrigerator quit again. We lost another refrigerator full of food. We called Whirlpool and the repair company again, and the repair was scheduled. I have six children and we spent Thanksgiving without a refrigerator in our home. The repair shop kept the refrigerator for several days after they fixed it to make sure it wouldnt leak coolant, because by this time, they had figured out that there were several pin hole sized leaks in the coolant line. It didnt leak. They had it for about four weeks total before they brought it back to us. By the next morning after having the refrigerator plugged in for several hours in our kitchen, the temp was at 65 degrees in the refrigerator and 60 in the freezer. I called the repair company again and whirlpool. The repair company has come to the conclusion that there must be a leak in the coolant line in the walls of the refrigerator and it is deemed unrepairable. They called the whirlpool tech line and the tech people told them to come back to our house and read the pressures the next day. They came out, read the pressures, determined that coolant had leaked out and told the tech department it was not repairable. The tech department told them to go through the entire cooling system again. This is something they have done several times. Today, they brought the refrigerator back after going through the entire cooling system, yet again. Its still not working. As I type this, my refrigerator is at a balmy 55 degrees. The repair company and I have both, on numerous occasions requested a replacement refrigerator. This was a very high end purchase for us. The original cost of the refrigerator was around $3,000. I have lost around $1500 worth of food, which Ive also requested on numerous occasions for Whirlpool to reimburse and they refuse. Whirlpool refuses to replace the refrigerator. Today, I found out that, by mistake, they gave me a one year extended warranty instead of six months. They said that it does not expire until June 19, 2015. Even with this information, they told me that the best offer that they will give me is IF I am willing to EXCHANGE my lemon that is in my kitchen right now, they will SELL me a replacement refrigerator at a discount. They say that the terms of the extended warranty are different than terms of a manufacturers warranty.This is unacceptable. I am currently out several thousand dollars for an over sized filtered water dispenser in my kitchen. As of right now, I havent had a working refrigerator for about six weeks and through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. The product quality is so bad (and unreliable) that within 2 years the coils in the Outdoor Unit have started to leak. When I requested for service visit the technician (so called) came over and did a wet service and took the fee (without an invoice). And assured that the AC would start to work fine. Within a week we realized that the AC is not cooling enough. Again a service visit was called and this time the technician (supposedly) diagnosed the above problem. The repair cost told to me is to the tune of Rs 10,000/- for a product cost of Rs 36,000/- (or so) bought just 2 years back. Does anyone in Whirlpool understand what QUALITY means??? It broke down with error codes F28, F70, F71 13th month just after warranty and was leaking water. Bought 1 yr 153.00 Whirlpool extended warranty. Many reviews in internet have same complaint. Immediately had it repaired after waiting my 60 days to use warranty, but did not work after the door latch switch and one of 3 main circuit boards was replaced which was over $600.00. That was 2 visits. Fired them and had warranty company send different repair Co. They came twice with a cost of $840.00 and worked for 30 days and then had no power. 3rd repair company came out and wanted $350.00 to order part. I was offered $1195.00 cash or $1499.00 replacement top of line Whirlpool WFL98HEBU. Nice! But only 1 year warranty and I had to pay 200.00 shipping. I decided to take the money since I did not want to risk the break down on the new washer. The reviews on the new washer were not favorable with break down as the main complaint. 4 repairs in 1 year is lemon law on my warranty. My repairs were 4 in 45 days.

We like the Duet Washer because it had a steam cycle and a sanitize cycle plus it has a light inside that helps us see the laundry in our dark room or at night. Also we have been very happy with the cleaning - does a great job and gets the dirtiest clothes clean. The Fan Fresh feature and Delay Start are very handy especially for busy parents who may forget the laundry is in the washer.

I purchased Whirlpool 6.2ct electric range on 3/16/2013 from Lowes, Fremont, CA. I tried to bake my cake on 11/19/2013, and preheat it to 400F degree. When the temperature achieved to 400 degree, I put my cake in not even 5 minutes and go to dining room to pick up something. When I turn around, I saw the oven window is so bright and I open the door right away, it has fire from the left side bottom. I turn off the power right away but still has big fire. So I use the fire extinguisher to get the fire off.I went to Lowes to complain, this product is still under the manufacture warranty and I also purchased two years extended warranty from the store. Lowes sent the 3rd party technician over to check, they open the bottom element and insist I drop something to catch on fire. He tried 350F degree is working. But the fact is, theres nothing dropped, no oil, water or and any ingredients, only fire extinguisher powder all over the bottom. Technician put back the cover, I asked him, How do I clean up the bottom extinguisher mess? He said, You dont need to, just clean the top, and wont try 400F degree for me since the top didnt clean up. I asked him, I am so fear to use it now, you asked me to clean it up and try again. I only use my oven to bake cakes, cookies, and muffins, and that day the cake even not still raise yet. How could it catch on fire? Is this product defective? I doubt it.I also called Whirlpool, they said most likely its short circuit. They only provide the repair, unless it cant be repaired, then they replace it. Manufacturer also told me that my temperature is high. I dont think so. I have no problem to use any oven in 425-450 in the past. If this is high, why your stove has function to that high degree? I am so upset with both services. From my concern, nothing dropped to bottom and caught on fire. They all refused to replace the new one and asked me to continue using it. I really dont feel confident to use this one and dont know who can help me to replace it.

The first year in use, I started having problems with freezer frosting, light not working, seemed like the ice produced in it, burned the light bulb. Prior to that sometimes it worked, sometimes it didnt. I started to think that it had burned, changed the light bulb. It didnt worked. After 2 months, all of a sudden the light worked, but the ice maker stopped working. What would be the suggestion to fix it, may I asked. This is very disappointing. Bought the Whirlpool Cabrio washer (WTW7300DW) and dryer (WED7300DW1) about 8 months ago. The washer always leaves white debris on the dark clothes - looks like detergent. Except I use blue liquid detergent. It seems like the inside, bottom of the drum is deteriorating and sticking to the clothes, since there is nothing that is white in the washer. I have run it through the clean cycle several times with the recommended washer cleaning product (the brand that came as a sample with the washer). That did not help. Also, we have a dog, our old washer used to rinse out a lot of dog hair from the bottom of our socks, etc. My filter for my drain hose would always have dog hair in it. With this washer, there is no dog hair being rinsed out at all. Lint and dog hair is all through the clothes after the cycle is over. Makes me wonder where the dirt is going, then.The clothes are so twisted after washing. Anything with long sleeves get tied up around other clothes. This seems very rough to wash clothes this way. Also, if you dont use the deep water setting, its likely not to get parts of the clothes even wet. I had a gray hooded sweatshirt go through a whole wash cycle and there were spots all over it that never even got wet at all. The dryer power button is very temperamental. Sometimes I have to hit it 6 - 7 times, at different angles, until I hit it just right to get it to turn on. Other times it just turns right on. There are just 2 of us so I only do 10 - 12 loads of clothes a month. After reading all the awful reviews, I fear that these problems, which are becoming evident now, will only get worse. Yet I only have 4 more months until the warranty runs out.

I figured Id buy the biggest, best (LOL) refrigerator Whirlpool had to offer, so I could do our grocery shopping once a month and have a place for everything and the fridge being so big would be capable of holding a months worth of food. It performs that function very well!The problem began when I purchased this wonderful piece of quality craftsmanship (cough) at Lowes in Denton Texas on 6/19/13. While one delivery guy stood on my sidewalk talking to me, we watched the one other guy bringing my rather large brand new Whirlpool refrigerator up the driveway with a regular (not an appliance) dolly. After getting to the end of the driveway and having to go through the front yard to get to the sidewalk, the monster fridge started leaning and eventually ended up on its side in the front yard, needless to say I was a little concerned about damage. They continued to get it in the house after providing me a nice gouge in the door frame before realizing it may be best to take the front door off before entry. So after getting it to the kitchen and removing the box we noticed the left door was way out of whack, so the delivery guy called his boss and we all agreed I needed a new refrigerator. A week later my second new refrigerator was delivered, no box around this one but it made it all the way into the kitchen without a hitch or any more scraps in the front door frame.Three months of dealing with water running down from the ice maker into the door storage areas I made my first service call, the guy said Whirlpool doesnt always put the correct thickness of gasket between the ice machine door and the ice bucket. He ordered gaskets and installed them the next week. Water continued to run down the door from the ice bucket to the shelf storage. 5/14/14 I called for another problem. The refrigerator seems to be running all the time, and there was a fan starting and stopping continuously as well. This was Miles Appliance - he seen the water running down the door and squirted a tube of sealer in the ice machine, replaced the little plastic fan and said that should fix it! I let the Whirlpool service scheduler talk me into the extended warranty since my one year warranty was about to expire so I bit and bought the warranty. 7/18/14 the fridge had a new sound going on for the last few days and still seems to be running all the time. I called for another warrant service, this time I drew In Home Appliance Repair. After waiting three days a guy comes out, verifies the fridge isnt cooling properly and tells me to unplug it for three days, so the ice ball that has formed somewhere can melt, that the noise I was hearing was a fan rubbing against the ice ball. So three more days go by and I plug in the fridge. Two days later the freezer has only cooled to 50 degrees. I called In Home Appliance Repair and they told me Id have to call into Assurant to make another service ticket, which I did. It takes two to three days for service tickets to get processes. After the second day, I called McNiels in Denton to see when I was going to receive my service, they didnt have a ticket for me. I told them Assurant said they would be providing my warranty service. McNiels told me they only service what they sell! I called Assurant back, they turned it over the scheduling gods. Three days later they set me up with a repairman 45 miles away. After waiting on him for four days he says he just doesnt have time to come by and pick up my refrigerator to take to his shop. I call Assurant again and am told its being turned over to the scheduling gods again. Three more days go by and they set me back up with In Home Appliance Repair. I call and they tell me they will be out on July 7 2014. The evening of July 6, 2014 In Home Appliance Repair calls and tells me theyve decided since the defrosting didnt fix the problem two weeks ago it was a system failure and they dont do that type of repair, they would call Assurant for a different service provider. I call Assurant to see whats up, they tell me A&E Factory will be out on July 13,2014. Now nearing a month WITHOUT a refrigerator and still not knowing how long its going to take to fix the problem! If Whirlpool is trusting Assurant to provide extended warranty service then thats exactly what they should be doing, it certainly isnt my fault they cant get service people out in a timely manner to resolve appliance issues. Its not like being without a stove or microwave - this is a refrigerator!!! This is the poorest service I have ever received from Whirlpool and Ive been a faithful Whirlpool customer for many years. In my opinion they should bring me a new fridge, haul this piece of crap to the nearest dump and be done with it! And after reading some of these posts there are lots of people that feel the same way about their appliances. This type of Customer Service needs to STOP, $2700.00 for a refrigerator and have to deal with crap like this is crazy!!!

It literally does not wash clothes in even the most basic interpretation of washing. Clothes are almost in the same position as when they were put in the machine. Dont even bother with stain removal, it just rubs stains in and makes them worse. Seriously beware. Very expensive and not worth one dime. Im replacing with the Maytag. I should have stayed with in the first place. I will NEVER buy Whirlpool again. Must have skipped the entire product development on this one. I wouldnt even give it a one star review but the submission wouldnt process without it. WASTE OF $$ DO NOT BUY.

Purchased this French door fridge with the freezer on the bottom in September 2017. Started having problems shortly after with the freezer not auto defrosting/ice damming on the evaporator unit in the freezer unit, which caused the fridge to warm up and food to spoil. Service came out several times and ultimately replaced the Jazz board 3 times, 2 harnesses in freezer, 1 Heater and the evaporator fan motor, with the same problem happening after a few weeks. Requested a replacement after the 3rd visit, but Whirlpool refused to back up their product. Sent service a few more times to no avail. Demanded a replacement once again. They sent a new service company out 15 months after our original purchase and they FINALLY deemed it non-repairable and are FINALLY going to replace it (turned out to be a broken wire inside the walls of the fridge, likely was like that upon delivery). So now we will have been put out for a total of 16 months for a fridge that cost >$1000. If Im spending that on an appliance I expect it to work properly or else be fixed/replaced in a TIMELY fashion. And the best part: they refuse to compensate us for any of the food that was lost due to a faulty product and very poor customer service! That was a lot of money lost because of their incompetence. If they had just replaced the broken appliance in the first place I would have been satisfied. But since they refused to do anything beneficial to remedy the situation, I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool appliance again. And add in the inconvenience of scheduling a time to be home for multiple visits to greet the repairman. Oh yeah, plus our time wasted defrosting our frost-free fridge with a blow dryer to buy us time until it got repaired. Buyer beware!

We purchased a higher end cabrio model only 3 years ago. Last year, on about every 5th cycle, the load would not spin at the end. Id have to remove all the wet clothes, set it to drain and spin, start it and wait for it to hopefully kick in. When I do it right, it kicks into the spin mode. I had to quickly press start/stop to unlock the hatch and reload the soaking wet clothes and wait for it to spin properly. Yesterday the same thing happened again. This time, it did not kick in. I ended up flipping the washer over and taking a look underneath. I discovered that the motor was seized. It had lost all its lubricating oil and smoked the belt. Now, my 3 year old washer is sitting in the driveway awaiting a trip to the dump since I got fed up and went out and purchased a new Samsung top loader. I emailed and called whirlpool with no luck. Not impressed. When I went out to buy a washer today the first thing I told the salesman was to stick anything with the name whirlpool out in the trash bin out back.

We have gotten sick from food left in the fridge after two days from the grocery store. It is now approaching two months without the use of our new refrigerator. DO NOT buy a Whirlpool. Apparently there was a manufacturing defect. We are now learning that a $2,400 fridge doesnt seem to be able to be fixed by factory-trained specialists.

I had three technicians come to check it out and after they just made the machine start, make the water run, and make the water empty, they confirmed that it was working normally. I have insisted on having someone come and just do a small wash and they did not agree because they are not there to wash clothes. I went back to Leon’s where I bought it and the saleslady told me that she could not do anything about it. I have been dealing with the customer service and the person has tried three times to get someone to come and check the washer properly and was insisting in front of me that I wasnt at all satisfied with the performance of the washer and still confirmed that the washer was working fine. They keep saying that there are no parts that need to be fixed or exchanged, so that means there is nothing wrong with the washer. I have tried all different kind of soaps. They were suggesting that I use Tide, which was the best performing soap. I used Tide or Purex - I even tried half a bottle of bleach - and it would not clean my clothes. The problem is the clothes are not turning, they just hardly moved with water that just keeps the clothes humid. I tried putting in more water with a bucket and when I push the start button, it would drain out all the water that it did not put itself. Ive called the consumer protection and they have advised me to take legal actions against the company and the store that sold it to me. They confirmed that whatever we buy, the article has to do the work it was made for; so the performance of a washing machine is to wash clothes. I even took a three-year prolonged warranty and the store told me that once the one-year warranty with the company has expired, then they could help me with sending their technicians and see what the problem was and they would take it from there. I have an account with the store and I have eighteen months to pay it off. So I was wondering if the saleslady did sell me an appliance saying that it was very good and that I should not have any problems with it. Can I take steps going against her for false advertisem*nt? It’s a month now that my clothes are not washed properly and I need to rewash them by hand before putting them out to dry. The consumer protection office has been telling me that the store should be the one to finalize the problem with the company, but it seems that not even they can come to an agreement. Whatever steps I will take against the company and the store, what are my chances of getting my washer replaced? Whirlpool has been advised about me taking them to court and I got permission to do so. Actually, they invited me to go ahead and do what I thought was right. I do not have the money or time to waste on something that maybe I will have no chance to get anywhere. All I want is to have it replaced with another washer that would be more performing. If anyone has had the same problem and had their case solved, maybe it will give me hope to go on. Please, what is the best and fastest way for me to get this problem resolved?
